Some of the technologies I believe, in accordance with the Gretzky Principle, will be used in American K-12 classrooms are Teachertube.com, Etherpad, and eLanguages.
I think that TeacherTube.com is going to be used because it is a easy video service that offers a wide range of educational videos on a range of topics. Etherpad is also something I could see many classrooms using. Etherpad could be very helpful for students to discuss different topics that they talked about in class or about homework problems. I could also see eLanguages being extremely helpful. When students are learning other languages, it would be very beneficial to allow them to connect with others in different countries that speak that language. It is a more interactive approach when learning about other languages and countries.

Prompt #4
As a educator of my students, I would want to play on their strengths. With students that are digital learners, I would want to include lots of technology into my classroom (including social networking) to achieve educational standards identified by ISTE for students. I would encourage students to share their work over Twitter or Facebook. Google Plus would also be a great tool for discussions and opinions to be shared about a topic. Overall, I would include lots of social networking in my classroom for the students to be more involved in the information that they are learning.
Prompt #5
I would apply the current use of technology by my students in my classroom by having a social, digital classroom on Edmodo. On Edmodo, my students and I could post and create assignments, make a calendar, and upload photos and messages. This would help achieve the educational standards identified by ISTE in my classroom because students will use their technological knowledge background. Students have a chance to use their creativity, communicate and collaborate with other students in their class online, and use problem solving and decision making skills.
Prompt #3
I would approach teaching students who are all digital natives and have spent their entire lives growing up online by the use of understanding. Since the students have grown up in a environment full of technology, they have gone through different experiences. These students process and think of information differently and as a teacher I have to accommodate my lessons to the ways they are use to learning. As a teacher I would include technology in my classroom to keep the digital learners active but I would also try to have them experience other ways of learning, more hands-on and hard-cover.
Prompt #2
I think that Bloom's taxonomy is not the perfect fit for the 21st century. The taxonomy seems to be outdated for the digital classroom. Bloom's taxonomy does not conform to the fast exponential growth of information that is being found through technology. There are many new ways to learn by the integration of information and technology into the classroom and the lives of students that Bloom's taxonomy does not contend to.
Prompt #1
The YouTube videos, "Did You Know" and "Pay Attention" both grabbed the audiences attention quickly. Using facts to draw in the audience about how technology is used in our society and culture. "Did You Know" makes a statement saying "India has more honors kids than America has kids". This really hit me hard, to think that all the education and learning I have done doesn't even compare to the students in India. Technology has had a major impact on American society and popular culture. Technology allows for students to create more effectively and for educators to teach more effectively. Since there is so much more technology used in the classroom, students are becoming Digital Learners. The technology in our society and culture is shaping the American education, enhancing it and making technology a center of instruction in the classroom.
